White Coat Ceremony & Hippocratic Oath

Today was the white coat ceremony and the hippocratic oath.  I thought that it was usually done after the four years and maybe it is elsewhere, but here we start in the hospital next week so I guess they wanted to make it official.  There are 170 students in my class, about equally mixed between girls/boys and puerto ricans/US students.  I also got my schedule for the first semester.  I will be in class/lab from 8am to 5pm and one day a week I will be at the hospital until 8pm.  It sounds like a busy day, but it should be fun and fulfilling finally getting to learn about the things that interest me and that I'll use for the rest of my life.

  4. Yeah that is so awesome!!! You do look like a doctor! Get to know Mexico, you may want to practice there instead of coming back to the US if ObamaCare gets its way...

  5. How cool! You took the Hippocratic Oath as a beginning medical student? Shauna said, "I guess that they have to 'do no harm' right from the start." Good observation. What an adventure you are having.
