CON AMOR

We had a chance to take Lincoln and AnJane' to a little town called Tonola to look for some things they needed. The entire town is full of craftsmen selling their beautiful supplies. It is the place every new medical student goes to get everything they need from beautifully hand-carved tables to laundry baskets, for a great price.
We ran across this little modern art studio, in the middle of all the vendors. It had amazing art, as modern as can be, and this One beautiful painting of a little piece of Mexico. We fell in love with the painting and brought it home to serve as a reminder of beautiful Mexico, long after we leave here.
We enjoyed Several valentines parties this year. Starting with one that AnJane' organized as a "desert" party for all of the "wives club" to share a treat and make valentines. The train cake above was a beautiful dessert that my friend Amy took to the party, it looked So good, that no one even touched it until the party was over. I loved the train cake, and Amy said she felt it looked sloppy because she decorated it while holding her 9 month old baby. Wow!! I could not do that while holding a baby!

after that we had a wonderful Carne asada or barbaque with the high priest group in the ward, it was ecspecially nice for Maya was who
loved by all of her Mexican "abuelos," and enjoyed her first taste of Rebecca's famous sugar cookies! (Thanks Rebec)

Los ninos enjoyed some mexican chocolate/marshmellow suckers and cupcakes for valentines day. They gave daddy his favorite butter toffee candies and chupa chups suckers (which the kids quickly ate For him immediately there after), and Kirtlyn helped Thomas pick out a beautiful flower from the flower vendor on the corner, for me. I am defiantly going to plant it and keep enjoying it as long as I can.

The kids enjoyed a little visit from there favorite perro in the coto. Little Thomas says that when this dog grows-up, it will be a horse... so there you have it!! Gotta love that!

And to top it all off, Kirtlyn had a great time hosting her first sleep-over with a friend of hers named Rylie. Yes, they loved looking alike, and staying up late..... while we may not really be ready for anymore sleep-overs any time soon, Kirtlyn just says she loves sleep-overs!!
